Application Process for International Internship Program:

**Application deadline for this program is 6 weeks prior to anticipated start.

**Please let us know as soon as possible if you are planning to apply, so we can assign you an advisor to be your direct contact if you need assistance with application materials. Particularly if you are applying for the busiest months of June and July, this helps us get a jumpstart on your process!

To apply for our International Internship program, you’ll need these four things:
1) A completed application form. This form includes a photo, which is standard procedure in Argentina for any job application. (In fact, believe it or not, a standard Argentine resume includes a photo!) A passport photo is ideal, but if you’re crafty with scissors, candidates have been known to use a picture they have on hand. Specifics are on the form.
2) A current resume. We highly recommend you submit one resume in English and one in Spanish. This by no means is expected to be perfect Spanish (this is the one case in your life where spelling and grammar mistakes on your resume are OK!), rather it is a sign of respect and dedication to a prospective host that you are ready to immerse yourself in the language and culture of their company. Also, it is a very good thing to know how to do, as you might need to build on it for future international jobs. Your Immersion Argentina pre-trip advisor is here to help if you with this!
3) Letter of Recommendation, preferably from a professor, advisor, mentor, employer or co-worker. We are only looking for a few paragraphs including how they know you and why they feel you would make a good candidate for the international internship program. There is no specific format necessary, and, of course, English is fine!
4) Registration Fee This fee is $100, and is in place to allow us to proceed immediately with your application and begin to incur costs on our end. This fee is non-refundable should you decide to cancel your program. However, in the case that we are not able to accept you into the program for any reason, this fee is refunded in full.

Please send your completed materials and registration fee to:

Immersion Argentina
6301 Grayson Road #163
Harrisburg, PA 17111-3331

Full payment is due three weeks prior to start of program.
Please see payment methods and cancellation policies.

Placement Process: what to expect after submitting your application
1) We review it thoroughly within 2-3 business days.
2) If we feel we need more information, we will call you right away.
3) If everything looks good, we begin surveying the available opportunities within our network and contacting prospective companies with your profile.
4) Within 10 business days, we will notify you of acceptance into our program. If we’ve accepted you, it means we had good results in our surveys and are able to guarantee we will have a professional internship position for you that suits your skills and career goals.
5) At this 10 day mark, this process becomes very interactive. An Immersion Argentina advisor will call you, to discuss where we are in your placement process. Because your internship is customized, some move faster than others. Sometimes, at this 10 day point we can send you all details of your internship, down to working hours and dress code. Other times, we know the company that has accepted you, but they are still working out the details of your exact assignment/ project.... And other times, we have several prospective hosts, and we will ask you which one you’d like us to pursue, etc..... Again, this is a customized process, so we use your input throughout to the highest extent possible.
6) Some companies like to conduct a phone interview to solidify the position. This is always a friendly, informal conversation, and serves as an orientation for both of you to know what to expect. In cases where they company uses our international interns on a regular basis, they might ask one of our advisors to conduct the interview on their behalf.
7) Once that is complete, and all details are confirmed, your internship preparation packet is prepared, and sent as a part of your pre-trip goodie bag.
8) Make sure you are packed and ready to head to Buenos Aires!
