This is your program, so you call the shots as to where you stay. Every Immersion Argentina program offers at least seven different types of accommodation to suit everyone’s needs, preferences, budget, or a combination of the three!

HomeStay, with breakfast and dinner, 7 days a week or
HomeStay without meals:

One of the best ways to truly immerse yourself in the language and culture of Argentina is to share the home of a local family. We work with a large number of families who are accustomed to hosting foreign students, and love to share their culture and help others find their way in the city they’re so proud of. You’ll have your own room, and a key to the house to come and go as you please. You’ll share their common areas along with their customs, (and if you choose) eating a typical Argentine breakfast in the morning and a home-cooked meal when you’re ready for dinner. Based on your questionnaire, we match you with a family that best suits you- ie no smoking, pets, kids, dietary concerns, etc. While some families have a full house with young children, we find that retired couples or women whose children have left the house make excellent hosts as well. Most students find they stay super busy running here and there, but, when they’re home, enjoy chatting with their hosts- not only to practice Spanish, but to come away with a profound cultural understanding that can’t be learned in a book

Student Residence, Shared or Private Room:

For those that want to be around a larger number of people, and live with students from all over the world, a student residence is a good option for you. Our students stay in various different residences, which fall into two categories:
A “home” environment, typically shared with 10-15 other students from the interior of Argentina and around the world, and the owner or caretaker of the house. The environment is peaceful, laid back, and “homey”. Guests share the kitchen, and cook for themselves, or sometimes residents plan group meals in which everyone shares in the cooking (and the eating!) There are several computers with internet access on site. The door stays locked and each resident has a key to come and go as they please. This is a nice “blend” between a homestay and a residence, as the owner enjoys sharing her culture with her guests, and most residents are there for weeks or months at a time.
A “hostel” environment, but a very clean and modern hostel! Students who prefer living with a larger number of people, and like to be around a lot of movement tend to enjoy the six story student hostel directly across the street from the school. Voted the best hostel in Buenos Aires, the owners take great pride in keeping a clean, fun, and inviting atmosphere. Each floor has its own full kitchen to keep food and cook, outdoor study area, living room/common area, and the roof has a sunning area with a baby pool, barbeque, and yes, rooftop bar. The most common shared room is four beds with its own bathroom. There are private rooms available if you reserve them early! There are several computers with internet on each floor.

If you choose “residence” as your option, we’ll follow up with you to determine which of our options you’d prefer.

Shared Apartment- private room:

Live with a Porteño roomie! We have offer the unique service which matches you with an Argentine student or young professional who has an extra room in their apartment for rent. These people are all friends of our Buenos Aires school and many have been sharing their apartment with foreign students for several years. You’ll have your own room, and share the common areas (including the kitchen) with one, or sometimes two roommates. Interested students fill out a questionnaire (age, gender, hobbies, smoking, pets, etc) to determine their most suitable roommate. These spots sill up fast, so apply early. This is a fantastic way to meet local people your own age, and get a real taste of how young Argentine’s live, work and play!

Rent a furnished studio or one-bedroom apartment:

For those who enjoy having complete independence, there are many furnished apartments in Buenos Aires which allow guests to rent for short term periods. All come with full kitchen and bath, TV, and some have air conditioning ,cable, balconies, and WiFi internet. If you are interested in this option, please tell us your preferences, and we’ll find the best match for you.

Hotels from 3 to 5 stars:

This is the most expensive option, but some folks are just most comfotable in a hotel, and that’s fine. There are more hotels than hot dogs in Buenos Aires, so you’ll have plenty to choose from in all categories. Please let us know your interests, and we’ll give you our best recommendations.
